I admire all the work that has obviously been put into this site. It is very thorough and engaging. I don't necesarily agree with your militant views on the modern incarnations of Superman, however. I think that it would be impossible to sustain a character through six decades without developing his character a little more. Everyone has self-doubt, and everyone makes mistakes. One of Superman's most appealing aspects to me is his humility. In a way, he has always had to struggle to attain the basest parts of humanity which we take for granted. A hero is more than a meaningless symbol that is impossible for any human being to relate to. I don't condemn the character for becoming more human. I appreciate him for it.- Stuart Ward, Sat, 22 Nov 1997 21:04:23 GMT

Superman is the only comic book I ever read. I think he is the most interesting superhero. Superman has been a family tradition. My father read it, I read it, and my future children will probably read it.- Jonathan Swift, Tue, 11 Nov 1997 03:45:46 GMT
